Based in New York City, John B. Murray Architect designs and directs high-end residential projects throughout the country. The recipient of several Palladio and Stanford White Awards, the firm draws upon the legacy of classicism to create timeless, contemporary architecture known for its supreme craftsmanship and character. We are currently seeking a full-time Marketing and Administrative Assistant to work in our team environment. As the Marketing and Administrative Assistant you will work closely with architects and our marketing team to provide general administrative support. This position is for a self-starter eager to translate relevant work experience into the field of architecture. Candidates must be highly motivated, with an ability to work independently and manage several time-sensitive deadlines. This support role requires strong attention to detail, exceptional customer service skills, and superior problem-solving ability. We are a small firm that emphasizes collaboration and teamwork, looking for someone with a positive outlook and “can do” attitude to join our growing team. Responsibilities Assist architects with administrative aspects of projects including: client correspondence, internal/external presentations, office mailings, design and image work for project proposals, meeting notes, and project filing Assist with social media content, awards submissions, 3D printing, office events, photo editing, and client gifts Overall administrative support including answering phones, coordinating incoming and outgoing correspondence, and assisting with scheduling on Outlook Coordinate visits from AIA Certified Lunch and Learn administrators to ensure architects meet their yearly AIA credit requirements Greet guests and set-up the conference room for client meetings (coordinate catering and conference calls) Help to maintain an organized office space by cataloguing books, magazines, and architectural samples for our Library and Archive Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree Ability to multi-task and work within a team to meet necessary goals and deadlines Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent customer service Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign preferred
