A logistics company is looking to hire a data entry clerk to carry out certain administrative tasks mostly involving updating and maintaining information on our company databases and computer systems. RESPONSIBILITIES: -Transfer data from paper formats into official computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or optical scanners. -Type in customer data provided directly by manager. -Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes when required. -Verify available data by comparing it to source documents provided and correct any seen errors. -Update existing data into company database regularly to maintain an organized information system. -Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested. -Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation and prevent permanent loss of company information. SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTSÂ -ideal candidate must be computer savvy -adequate knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing applications. -keen attention to exact details. -high school degree (least) or other related qualifications and degree. -excellent typing skills both fast and efficient. -Good communication abilities.
