ePosterBoards is seeking to hire virtual event technician to assist in virtual test sessions and events. The part time position will require work in a socially distance office environment following COVIT guidelines. The role of the Virtual Event Technician is listed below but is not limited to: Assist event manager during virtual events including test sessions. Ability to staff a Virtual help desk to assist event attendees. Troubleshoot technical issues during virtual test sessions and events for example, with internet browser and computer devices. Demonstrate use of virtual event platform to attendees, be proactive in identifying and instructing confused-looking or non-technologically inclined individuals. Answer questions about the event and ePosters. Highly capable of learning software Upload and edit presenter documents in PowerPoint, Prezi, Keynote, and PDF viewer software as directed. Sort and upload digital files while accurately documenting changes and logging activity in web-based spreadsheets. Facilitate poster session transitions as directed (provide a warning to presenters of impending transitions and then execute the transition at the appropriate time). Accurately document and report any technical issues. Job Requirements: Comfortable with using both Mac and Windows operating systems for: System preferences File/folder organization in Finder (Mac) and Explorer (Windows) Experience with multiple internet web browsers including Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge. Highly preferred experience with virtual conferencing software including Zoom. Advanced PowerPoint knowledge/skill base is required. Must be organized and comfortable with spreadsheets. Must possess calm demeanor and excellent customer service skills—must be comfortable in a client-facing role. Must have a modern cell phone and be responsive. Must dress presentably/professionally (staff polo will be provided). Previous audiovisual event experience is highly preferred. Must have reliable transportation. Dependable and willing to work a flexible schedule with often inconsistent hours as it fits your availability. Comfortable with working in an office setting that has social distancing measurements.
