We are currently seeking a seasoned intermediate accountant to support various clients on a consulting basis. You will be responsible for all aspects of our client engagements, including bookkeeping, administration, financial reporting, and consulting opportunities. You will contribute to the continuous improvements of operational processes by leveraging technology and your significant accounting and clinic/research/general business experience. Responsibilities: • General ownership of the accounting and financial administration function for the client, across academic practice groups, community clinics, research/labs, and individual physician’s medical professional corporations. • Process bookkeeping entries, journals and reconcile bank account transactions. • Modernize accounting processes and maintain and improve internal controls. • Preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, cash flow, and report variances. • Manage payables, including invoice receipts and electronic payment processing, end to end. • Manage payroll for clinic staff and responding to inquiries. • Reconcile and maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts. • Communicate financial position and results to individual physicians and to committees. • Assist with preparation of quarterly and year end financial statements. • Troubleshoot administrative and financial issues as they arise. • Costing of growth opportunities, including clinic start-ups, real-estate investments, partnerships, and other investments, • Leadership and attention to all aspects of accounting department. • Interface with outside audit firms, banks and others as required. • Manage all financial and accounting operations and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
