Mission – Director, Financial Product Up to this point, Rize has used its collaborative academic programming model to enable 70 colleges to start over 180 new majors and minors in key enrollment-driving fields where these colleges did not previously offer anything. This revenue growth product enables these colleges to bring in millions of incremental enrollments each year. However, these schools also need help cutting costs. It is the key to eliminating their deficits and lowering tuition for millions of students who continue to take on crippling amounts of debt each year. Therefore, we have just launched a new product that uses our same collaborative programming model to not just add new majors, but to supplement or replace existing programs at much lower cost. In the years ahead, it will enable hundreds of colleges to lower their costs by 20% or more without having to close departments like history, math, or physics. We believe it has more potential to fix the $2 trillion student debt crisis in America than anything else in the market today. Your mission will be to build our initial traction for this product into a business unit within Rize that brings in tens of millions of dollars in revenue annually by helping individual colleges save millions of dollars each year. In the near term, that means you will be marketing, selling, and performing the first step in our sales process for this product: a full financial analysis of each college’s academic departments. The goal of the analysis is to give Presidents and CFOs a comprehensive look at exactly how each section, class, major, and department on their campus are performing financially and, ultimately, how our collaborative model can help them. Following this analysis and your sales pitch to them, you will ultimately be the one constructing their adjusted academic departments with them. This will involve not just academic restructuring but also some PR and political advising that ensures this strategic move goes smoothly for them. Details ● You will be working most closely with our Head of Growth, Charlie Anastasi, and our co-founder and CEO, Kevin Harrington ● It will be a mix of ideation / strategy work, fast execution, data scrubbing, financial modeling, marketing, selling, and presentation / public speaking work. ● Therefore, this role is ideal for an ambitious young person who would like to one day either 1) lead a central business unit at our fast-growing, mission-driven startup, 2) work at startups in a financial or operational capacity, 3) start their own startup, or 4) work in venture capital or education-related financial services.
