Hi there, we are a retail company and are currently looking for an excel Whiz that can help us come up with a solution. Our Problem: We have multiple suppliers who have a range of products that change in price and availability constantly. Our team are spending hours constantly looking line by line to update our pricing excel sheet (we use Vend as our pos system and can export our data list and reimport with changes to update them on the system). The Solution We Are Looking For: We are looking for a solution to automate our price updates. The simplest way to look at it would be: Step 1: Have a method to analyse and compare current pricelist to (for example) the pricelist from the week before (by supplier). Identify price changes, and items that have been discontinued (0 stock on hand, or missing line item from previous sheet), and also to identify new products that are added to the list (not on previous sheet but is on the current sheet). Step 2: Have a system to be able to segment the results (via automated highlighting / other easier method) for simple filtering and data analysis. Step 3 (Ideally): Have a method to sync price updates (based on rules) into our universal source of truth – our Vend pricing list. We have roughly 3 or 4 different supplier sheets that we would like this process done with and are happy to discuss further on a zoom call. Thanks for your time!
