Need someone to gather data related to instructors from online course catalogs and university websites. I have a list of universities, and I want to gather data about who is teaching their introductory level physics classes. For each university, you would need to find their website course catalog, identify the right course numbers, and then find the name and email address of any instructor that is available. Generally there are 2-3 applicable courses per university, and about 1-2 instructors per course. I currently have about 50 universities to gather data for. I expect total time should be 10-20 hours. However we might attempt this same procedure with a wider set of universities and different subjects if this pilot project goes well. Data will be entered directly into a shared spreadsheet (no custom software to learn). To be successful you need to be proficient in searching both google and University websites to find the necessary information quickly. Some universities put the information in one place, but other require cross checking course catalogs with department staff listings for example.
