Summary The Computer Assistant functions as an Automated Data Processing Application Coordinator (ADPAC). The employee performs administrative, data support and retrieval duties Assists end-users in resolving hardware and software application issues; Monitors computer applications and provides guidance and training to assist users; Prepares analysis and justification to substantiate requests for Automated Data Processing (ADP) software and hardware; Coordinates with technical staff to implement/install new hardware and software; Works with programmers and developers to resolve problems; Maintains inventory of all ADP equipment assigned to inpatient wards; Orders all supplies of inpatient wards ADP users; Prepares annual ADP equipment needs plan; Analyzes data, identifies discrepancies, makes corrections, and recommends course of action; Utilizes computer software programs to develop procedures for validation of data input; Performs other duties as assigned.
