VIRTUAL ASSISTANT – DATA ENTRY SPECIALIST Miod & Company, LLP seeks a Virtual Assistant in Data Entry. This Virtual Assistant will help with data entry, conversion of data to spreadsheets, and related responsibilities. As our company continues to expand and branch into other areas of customer fulfillment, our team needs an individual who can assist the accounting team with regular data entry and conversion. This individual is seeking an exciting, long-term career opportunity, can maintain composure and professionalism in the demands of a deadline-based field, and can move forward with us in this expansion. POSITION OVERVIEW This is a role with a maximum of 40 hours/week, reporting to the accountants on the Forensic Services team. We expect that this individual is able to work during our business hours, from 8:30 am – 5:30pm Pacific Time, Monday – Friday. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Virtual Assistant will have (but are not limited to) the following primary responsibilities: * Data entry * Working with financial statements * Converting bank and brokerage data to spreadsheets * Running pivot tables * Reconciling data * Supporting administrative tasks as needed QUALIFICATIONS * Must have a Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A./BSBA) in Accounting or related field of study. * Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or working towards obtaining CPA * A mastery of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets PROFICIENCIES Organizational Skills: This role requires high levels of organization, as documents need to be filed in a way that makes it easy for them to be found later. The VA will have effective planning and file management, as these qualities are vital in this role. Basic Computer Skills: The VA will need great typing skills and be able to pick up software and programs quickly, including Microsoft Office products and SharePoint. Attention to Detail: The VA won’t let little details escape them, working with a high level of accuracy. Quality Communication: The VA must be an excellent communicator, in both written and oral form. This includes high proficiency in spelling, grammar, and punctuation. You must also be able to track communication (and be very responsive) across multiple channels without losing any details. Those channels could include in-person meetings, virtual video calls, MS Teams messages, and/or emails. High Level of Discretion: Since this role works with confidential data and information, the VA must be dependable, trustworthy, and has integrity as they exercise discretion and sensitivity regarding financial information. Team Player: The VA will need to be able to collaborate and communicate well with their team members, maintaining a can-do spirit and not complaining, making excuses, or gossiping.
